Shift - Monday - Friday The Manufacturing Supervisor will be responsible for leading and coordinating the activities of the employees.
Including daily production, equipment needs, raw material and finished goods put-away.
This position works with minimal supervision so the person must be a leader with strong organizational and communication skills.
Ensure all employees on the shift are following established procedures, manage performance, and present corrective action as needed.
Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
Collaborate with other departments, including maintenance, quality control, and logistics, to ensure smooth production operations.
Monitor metrics/KPIs to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to optimize performance.
Evaluate problems that arise and take appropriate action to allow employees to complete their work.
Train employees in company policies and procedures.
Manage the safety on the shift to ensure no accidents or injuries occur.
If needed, conduct safety investigations regarding work related incidents and injuries.
Analyze and communicate Daily production, machine down time and goals to employees and Management.
Ensure housekeeping standards are met and the production area is maintained in a neat and organized manner.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or related field.
Manufacturing Supervision/management experience in the bottling or beverage industry 5 years (Required).
Experience with a BMS (Business management system (SAP, AS400, NetSuite etc) a plus.
Strong leadership and management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and manage a staff of 15 - 20 employees.
Should possess familiarity with production equipment and have an intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to write SOP's, performance reviews, recommending performance improvement plans (Lean Systems, Six Sigma or Kaizen where necessary and the ability to communicate department goals, objectives, and processes with employees.
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure, possessing an exceptional sense of urgency.
Ability to follow detailed instructions, troubleshoot issues, schedule, organize, coordinate, train, and prepare operating procedures with minimal supervision.
Physical Requirements:
Move products, supplies, and boxes up to 50 lbs.
Sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, kneeling.
